Car of the Year 2010: Steering Committee

Norton Alderson is CEO of Universal Switching Corp., a high-tech firm specializing in switching equipment for communication and defense agencies. David Arnold is senior vice president, group publisher, of Robb Report magazine. Henri Barguirdjian is president and CEO of Graff’s U.S. operations. Ken Brock is president and CEO of Names and Numbers, which publishes 66 telephone directories in 11 states and serves more than 4 million U.S. residents. Ben Brown is a technology entrepreneur and angel investor for technology start-ups in the Southeast and mid-Atlantic regions. Michael Crete is an entrepreneur who recently created the Crete Family Foundation to further the causes of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Hutchins Street Square, Children’s Home, Real Life, American Cancer Society, and other charitable organizations. William J. (Bill) Curtis is chairman and CEO of CurtCo Robb Media LLC, the parent company of Robb Report. Jack P. DeBoer serves as chairman of the board for HIX Corp., the premier manufacturer of printing equipment, electric and gas dryers, and machines for the food industry. Rick Dees is founder of the Dees Digital Network (DDN) and a prominent radio personality best known for hosting Rick Dees Weekly Top 40. James (Jim) Dolan is president and CEO of Voyager Group LP, a private equity firm that invests and manages companies with interest in technology, natural resources, resort development, and aviation. James G. (Jim) Edwards is a retired business developer and Porsche enthusiast. Jonathan Farber is a cofounder and managing director of Lime Rock Partners, a company that makes long-term investments in energy corporations worldwide. Steven Fink is CEO of Lawrence Investments, which owns and manages Larry Ellison’s non-Oracle investments. Gregory P. Fontana is vice chairman of surgery and a cardiac surgeon at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Tom Gonzales is founder and chairman of the board of Shadow Marine in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Jeffrey Gould is executive vice president of Schottenstein Property Group, a full-service, nationally recognized real estate company. Deborah Harlan is a proprietor of Harlan Estate, along with her husband, Bill. H. William (Bill) Harlan is a cofounder and chairman of Pacific Union Co., a real estate development firm in San Francisco; he also owns the Harlan Estate winery in Oakville, Calif., and the Meadowood resort in St. Helena, Calif. Herb Harris is CEO of Harris & Harris, a Texas-based law firm. Marc Hruschka is president and CEO of Chopard USA Ltd. H. Wayne Huizenga Jr. is president of Huizenga Holdings Inc. and chairman of the board of Rybovich, a marina and refit facility in West Palm Beach, Fla. Paul Leary is president of Blackbird Vineyards and was instrumental in the 2008 launch of Ma(i)sonry Napa Valley, an art, wine, and design collective in Yountville, Calif. Chris Leedom is founder and president of Leedom Group and also owns five automotive dealerships in the southeastern United States. Mark Lyons is an options trader with Walleye Trading, an option-market hedge fund. Bruce Meyer is a world-class car collector, philanthropist, and real estate developer. Jack Morris is president and CEO of Edgewood Properties, which develops, owns, and manages residential and commercial properties throughout the United States. Michael Polenske is owner of Ma(i)sonry Napa Valley and Blackbird Vineyards. Kurt Rappaport is a cofounder of the Westside Estate Agency in Beverly Hills and Malibu, the leading independently owned high-end real estate brokerage firm in California. Damon Raque is a financial-services industry professional. Glenn F. Rotner is president of Cindy Crawford Licensing and of Dorothy C. Thorpe LLC. Jay L. Schottenstein is chairman of the board and CEO of Schottenstein Stores Corp., Retail Ventures Inc., and American Signature Inc. Joseph Schottenstein is president of Steuben Glass, an affiliate of Schottenstein Luxury Group. Doug Shafer is president of Shafer Vineyards in California’s Napa Valley. Eric P. Shen is founder and managing partner of Scuderia Development, a privately held real estate development and property management company based in Irvine, Calif. Burt Sugarman is a businessman in Beverly Hills, Calif. Steven Taback is a pulmonologist and critical-care specialist practicing at the Institute for Better Breathing in Burbank and Glendale, Calif. Stanley Tan is founder of the Singapore non-property investment company Global Media Holdings, which owns a stake in Global Yellow Pages Media, where he is executive chairman. John C. Tolbert is a successful entrepreneur with world-renowned expertise in hospitality real estate. Shawn Vick is executive vice president of sales, marketing, and flight operations for Hawker Beechcraft Corp. William P. (Bill) Weidner is a business developer with experience operating hotels and casinos in the United States, Australia, China, and Singapore. Jayson Woodbridge is owner and vintner of the Hundred Acre winery and Layer Cake Wines. Johnathan Yi is executive director of business development at Donga One and the principal of Forza Motors Korea, which operates two Korea-based dealerships. Michael Zamkow was a partner in Goldman Sachs (from 1994 until his retirement in 2001), where he oversaw the firm’s Futures, Derivative Sales, European Fixed Income Sales, and E-Commerce departments. Karl Zeile is an investment analyst and portfolio counselor for Capital Research and Management Co. in Los Angeles. Alex Zubillaga is senior advisor of Rhône Group LLC, one of the world’s leading mid-market private equity firms specializing in mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, and partnerships with particular focus on European and transatlantic investments.
