A highlight of the latest high jewelry collection from Chopard is a flowing necklace made of 15 rare, cushion-cut emeralds totaling more than 100 carats. Chopard spent more than a year collecting the matching stones and then another six months cutting and setting them into the piece. “It’s as soft as a carpet, and that makes it especially beautiful,” says Caroline Gruosi-Scheufele, Chopard’s copresident and creative director.
A pink sapphire bracelet required equal persistence and patience: It features 128 matching pink sapphires, weighing a total of 282 carats and set in pink gold in the shape of connected flowers. The piece also includes 25 round diamonds that enhance the color intensity of the sapphires.
