With two 170-foot versions of Palmer Johnson’s Sportyacht series ready to debut for the summer 2010 season, news comes of a 210-foot addition to the fleet. Two semi-displacement aluminum hulls will be built simultaneously in the company’s Wisconsin and Southampton, England, yards, with an eye toward completing the already-sold first hull in spring 2011.
With both exterior and interior styling by Nuvolari-Lenard, the PJ210 merges the sporty style of an open yacht with the covered deck spaces of a tri-deck, offering up plenty of both sunshine and shade. The indoor space includes a theater, two salons, and a formal dining area. The PJ210 accommodates 12 guests and 14 crew. The main-deck master suite is graced with huge windows and a fold-down balcony. The lower deck houses four guest staterooms, along with a gym, sauna, and terrace. If being surrounded by water isn’t enough, the yacht also has plans for two swimming pools, one on the aft deck and one on the foredeck. The owner can access a private sundeck via disappearing stairs. If needed, a sliding mechanism can cover the foredeck pool for a helicopter landing area.
