A good bag, like a good car, transports your belongings in style. In that vein, leather goods company Ghisò and automaker Aston Martin are launching a new, collaborative collection of bags that marries the aesthetics of their brands.
The inaugural Ghisò for Aston Martin collection features six styles, ranging from laptop carriers to weekend bags (from about $1,000), which have been handcrafted at Ghisò’s Florentine factory, using vegetable-tanned leathers. The showpiece is the Aston Martin helmet bag—a reinterpretation of the brand’s classic helmet bag—inspired by the bags used by fighter pilots to store their helmets. The modified design for Aston Martin features brushed metal hardware and additional pockets, including one shaped specifically to fit your car keys. Its sleek exterior finish and striped stitching were designed to mimic the leather seats of vintage Aston Martin cars.
The Ghisò for Aston Martin collection will debut at the opening of the new Westime boutique in West Hollywood and at select Aston Martin concept stores this month. (www.ghiso.com)
