FrontRunners: May Fairer

London’s May Fair Hotel (www.radissonedwardian.com) no longer resembles the property that King George V and Queen Mary visited upon its opening in 1927. Following a two-and-a-half-year, $140 million restoration, the hotel has added a Baccarat chandelier in the ballroom and Bang & Olufsen entertainment systems in the suites. Ten new accommodations feature private gardens with outdoor televisions. The 406-room hotel also has added a wing with 80 rooms, the Amba bar and grill, an Asian-themed spa, and a large screening room. The hotel’s penthouse suite, its largest accommodation, runs about $9,500 per night.
