In-house Innovation

Like several Swiss watchmakers who have heavily invested in becoming more independent from movement suppliers, Breitling spent the last five years developing its first in-house manufactured movement: Caliber B01. Unveiled for the brand’s 125th anniversary this year, the automatic COSC-certified column- wheel chronograph with a vertical coupling clutch (to ensure a clean start of the timing hand) powers the bold new Chronomat B01 range, priced from $6,870 to $45,000. Available in four versions with varying metal and dial designs, the updated Chronomat B01 opens a new chapter in the brand’s long history in chronographs and lays a cornerstone for future development. To mark its achievement, Breitling is hosting special events for its collectors and enthusiasts at jewelers nationwide in June. For a schedule of events, visit www.breitling.com.
