FrontRunners: Jewel Box

The first American store from Henri J. Sillam (www.sillam.com) is small in size, but the jewels inside are big and bold. Opened last year in the Peninsula Beverly Hills hotel, the boutique displays the sixth-generation Austrian-French jeweler’s chunky necklaces, large drop earrings, and other daring diamond and gemstone pieces. Sillam selects stones for their unique colors and large sizes, using such specimens as bright-green Persian turquoise, soft lavender Jade, and pink Chilean phosphosiderite. Through his boutique, Sillam offers a bespoke service that includes his personal design guidance.
