Ferrari 458 Italia

Featuring an ultrahigh-revving engine, an aluminum chassis, twin-wishbone suspension, triple-tip exhaust, and Pininfarina design, the Ferrari 458 Italia is a fitting replacement for the outgoing mid-engine F430. The car’s name denotes its 4.5-liter engine displacement and its 8 cylinders, which will fire up to a 9,000 rpm redline. Expected to hit U.S. showrooms this spring, the 458 Italia produces an astonishing 562 hp and 398 ft-lbs of torque, making it the most powerful V-8 production model Ferrari has ever manufactured. Its power, combined with a low weight of 3,042 pounds, will help the Italia reach a top speed of 202 mph. A convertible version of the 458 Italia is due in 2011 for those with an affinity for top-down motoring.

Pros:
Ferrari at its finest.
Cons: The 430 is officially retired.
