Ferrari 612 Scaglietti

Six years have passed since Ferrari unveiled its 612 Scaglietti, yet the big four-seater remains fearsomely fast. This year, those restless artisans from Maranello have revised the 612 in a host of meaningful ways, most beneath that Pininfarina-styled skin. One new feature that is visible is a panoramic roof panel made of electrochromic glass that transforms from nearly opaque to nearly transparent with the twist of a knob. For this Scaglietti, Ferrari also inaugurates its One-to-One Personalization Program, giving buyers the opportunity to fine-tune the car’s appearance, down to the color of the brake calipers and seat stitching. Beneath the long hood, the 612’s 5.7-liter V-12 is unaltered, still good for 532 hp. This year, however, the engine is matched to the 599 GTB Fiorano’s SuperFast servo-shifted manual transmission, which changes gears in a tenth of a second. Moreover, the steering wheel gains a manettino rotary switch, allowing the driver to adjust engine, gearbox, brake, and suspension settings to suit the road conditions. Pros: The only Ferrari in which you can bring three friends. Cons: A replacement should be launched within the year.
