Lamborghini Murciélago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce

SuperVeloce. The name conjures images of Lamborghini’s original Diablo SV, which was produced in 1995 to appease the brand’s most extreme performance enthusiasts. Today, the Murciélago earns the acclaimed SV suffix with an additional 30 hp and a weight reduction of 220 lbs. Capable of reaching 60 mph in roughly three seconds and a top speed of 212 mph, the limited-edition LP 670-4 SV is well worth its price tag of $450,000 for serious collectors and speed demons alike. The SV comes standard with Lamborghini’s E-gear automated manual transmission, but a traditional 6-speed manual gearbox is available as a no-cost option for the hair-shirt crowd. No more than 350 units will be produced worldwide before the next generation Murciélago hits the market in 2011.

Pros:
A supercar poster child come to life.
Cons: No longer the ultimate Lamborghini, thanks to the $2 million Reventon.
