The Spa at Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora

Jenny Hontz

Since it opened last September, the Spa at Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora (+689.603.137, www.fourseasons.com) has been creating quite a scene for its patrons: Sitting on the French Polynesian island’s highest point, it offers unparalleled views of a lagoon and the volcanic mountains of Bora Bora. The over-water, two-person Kahaia spa suite provides couples with views of Mount Otemanu while they relax in the terrace’s soaking bath; during treatments, glass windows in the floor beneath the treatment beds allow them to watch tropical fish swim in the lagoon below. Among the available therapies are a massage that incorporates monoi oils, apricot kernels, and aloe, and the Kahaia Haven Ritual, in which therapists exfoliate the skin with black-pearl powder. Before leaving the spa for their accommodations (the resort has 100 over-water villas and seven beachside villas), guests can laze in the vitality pool or swim in the lagoon—all while soaking in the sights.
