Mark, who is based in New York City, begins with a meeting to discuss the couple’s preferences: their favorite foods and wines, activities and adventures, types of accommodation, destinations, and how they want to spend their time—whether they want to relax on the beach, explore a city, have an active outdoors adventure, or have a mix of all. Once the itinerary is set, she works with the general managers at each property to orchestrate more personal touches: a surprise sunset picnic of Champagne and oysters in South Africa, for instance, or a private showing of the clients’ favorite films at the resort’s outdoor theater ($250 full planning fee; trip prices upon request).
