Maîtres du Temps’ New Chapter One Collection

Steven Holtzman, founder of Maîtres du Temps, collaborated with master watchmakers Christophe Claret and Peter Speake-Marin on the latest addition to the Chapter One series creating a technological feat complete with tourbillion, mono-pusher chronographer, retrograde date, and rolling bars indicating the day of the week and phase of the moon. Only 11 of the sleek chronograph pieces are available in a red-gold case and matching hands, a striking contrast to the jet-black dial and rollers. The Chapter One dial reveals the hour, minute, and chronograph 60-second counter on its intersecting axes, with the retrograde date at 3 o’clock, tourbillion and day of the week at 6 o’clock, retrograde GMT at 9 o’clock, and chronograph counter and precision moon phase roller at 12 o’clock. The red-gold Chapter One timepiece is available at Cellini in New York’s Waldorf-Astoria hotel (212.751.9824) and Wynn and Company Jewelry in Las Vegas (702.770.3520).
